AURORA survived a determined comeback attempt by OTTAWA on the way to a 2-1 win. AURORA took a 2-0 lead during the third period, only to have OTTAWA storm back on a Cydney Roesler (C) goal 17:39 into the third period to pull to one goal down. The win moved AURORA to down 1-0 in the best of five series. OTTAWA was stymied by AURORA netminder Paula Voorheis, who stopped 39 shots during the victory. The solid play of Voorheis will be reflected in her goals against average, which pre-game was 1.2. AURORA was helped by Rachel Greer, who finished with one goal. Greer scored 10:45 into the third period to make the score AURORA. Mackenzie Johnston provided the assist. AURORA also got a goal from Alie Brindamour-McClure(A) as well. Other players who recorded assists for AURORA were Claire McKimm, Courtney Brindamour-McClure(A), and Lauren Cavarzan, who each chipped in one. OTTAWA forced AURORA goalie Voorheis to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. More assists for OTTAWA came via Jessica Harvey, who had one. AURORA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. OTTAWA's Amanda Leveille stopped 20 shots out of the 22 that she faced. OTTAWA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
