Forfar's goals lift TORONTO to 5-2 victory over OAKVILLE

TORONTO relied on the scoring touch of Ailish Forfar, who netted two goals, to beat OAKVILLE, 5-2.

Forfar scored at 2:20 into the first period to make the score 1-0 TORONTO and again while 11:16 into the second to make the score 3-1 TORONTO.

The win gave TORONTO a 1-0 lead in the best of five series.

OAKVILLE was unable to stop TORONTO from sending pucks towards the net, and TORONTO eventually piled up 43 shots on goal.

TORONTO also got points from Laura Stacey, who also racked up one goal and two assists. TORONTO also got a goal from Audrey Potts as well. Other players who recorded assists for TORONTO were Erin Ambrose, who had two and Victoria Andreakos and Emma Korbs, who each chipped in one.

OAKVILLE was led by Melani Moylan (C), who had two goals. Moylan (C) scored the first of her two goals at 11:45 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Nicole Vigilanti provided the assist. Moylan (C)'s next tally made the score 4-2 TORONTO with 10:17 left in the third period. Hunter Ellis assisted on the tally. More assists for OAKVILLE came via Caitlin Gilligan (A), who had one.

Sarah Stephens rejected 17 shots on goal for TORONTO. TORONTO incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Camille Leonard made 38 saves for OAKVILLE on 43 shots. OAKVILLE incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
