Huge game by Pohanka boosts EHC Dortmund over Selber Wölfe, 6-2

Branislav Pohanka was all over the ice for EHC Dortmund, as he tallied two goals and two assists in EHC Dortmund's 6-2 win over Selber Wölfe.

Pohanka's tallies came at 13:58 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and 15:05 into the second to make the score 2-1 EHC Dortmund.

The win gave EHC Dortmund a 1-0 lead in the best of five series.

EHC Dortmund stifled Selber Wölfe's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

EHC Dortmund also got points from Philipp Michl, who also had one goal and two assists, Thomas Richter, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Benedikt Kastner, who also tallied one goal and one assist. EHC Dortmund also got a goal from Nils Liesegang as well. Other players who recorded assists for EHC Dortmund were Sebastian Eickmann, who had two and Christian Kretschmann, Ryan Martens, and Michael Schmerda, who each chipped in one.

Selber Wölfe was helped by Herbert Geisberger, who finished with one goal and one assist. Geisberger scored 11:00 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Selber Wölfe. Kyle Piwowarczyk provided the assist. More assists for Selber Wölfe came via Jared Mudryk and Yann Jeschke, who contributed one a piece.

EHC Dortmund incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Selber Wölfe incurred 34 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
