MEC Halle 04 gutted out a close 5-4 win against EV Füssen.

MEC Halle 04 gained the winning advantage on a goal by Florian Eichelkraut 16:45 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

The win gave MEC Halle 04 a 1-0 lead in the best of five series.

Eichelkraut was all over the ice for MEC Halle 04, as he tallied one goal and three assists in the win.

MEC Halle 04 stifled EV Füssen's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

MEC Halle 04 additionally got points from Sebastian Lehmann, who also racked up two goals and two assists and Ivan Kolozvary, who also tallied one goal and two assists. MEC Halle 04 also got a goal from Troy Bigam as well. In addition, MEC Halle 04 received assists from Benjamin Thiede, Jiri Polak, and Artur Lemmer, who contributed one a piece.

EV Füssen did not rack up many penalties in the contest, racking up only one minor for two minutes in penalty time.
