MEC Halle 04 squeaks by EV Füssen, 5-4BLZ Füssen Fri, Mar 16, 2012 MEC Halle 04 gutted out a close 5-4 win against EV Füssen. MEC Halle 04 gained the winning advantage on a goal by Florian Eichelkraut 16:45 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. The win gave MEC Halle 04 a 1-0 lead in the best of five series. Eichelkraut was all over the ice for MEC Halle 04, as he tallied one goal and three assists in the win. MEC Halle 04 stifled EV Füssen's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. MEC Halle 04 additionally got points from Sebastian Lehmann, who also racked up two goals and two assists and Ivan Kolozvary, who also tallied one goal and two assists. MEC Halle 04 also got a goal from Troy Bigam as well. In addition, MEC Halle 04 received assists from Benjamin Thiede, Jiri Polak, and Artur Lemmer, who contributed one a piece. EV Füssen did not rack up many penalties in the contest, racking up only one minor for two minutes in penalty time. EV Füssen was helped by Andrej Naumann, who registered two goals. Naumann scored the first of his two goals at 12:04 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Sascha Golts assisted on the tally. Naumann's next tally made the score 3-2 EV Füssen with 3:57 left in the second period. Sebastian Wolsch picked up the assist. EV Füssen also got points from Daniel (FL) Schmölz, who also finished with one goal and one assist. More assists for EV Füssen came via Simon Sezemsky, Yannik (FL) Baier, and Daniel Stiefenhofer, who each chipped in one. MEC Halle 04 incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. EV Füssen registered zero goals on three power play opportunities.
