Pembroke boosted by Dupuis' play in net, beats Brockville 4-1

A stellar performance between the pipes by Francis Dupuis helped the Pembroke Lumber Kings defeat the Brockville Braves, 4-1.

The win by Pembroke clinched the best of seven series at 4-1.

The Lumber Kings were led by Jonathan Milley, who grabbed one goal. Milley scored 15:01 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Pembroke. Tyler Gaudet picked up the assist.

Brockville was unable to stop Pembroke from sending pucks towards the net, and the Lumber Kings eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Pembroke also got points from Trevor Packard, who also had one goal and one assist and Liam Biard, who also registered one goal and one assist. Brendan Mcguire also scored for Pembroke. More assists for Pembroke came via Evan De Haan, Nathan Siydock, Brandon Gagne, Ben Dalpe, and Patrice Wren, who each chipped in one.

The Braves forced Pembroke goalie Dupuis to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

Brockville was led by David Ferreira, who scored the team's only goal. Ferreira scored on the power play 10:55 into the second period to make the score 1-1. The Braves had taken the advantage when the Lumber Kings' Will Seeber got sent off for interference. Kenny Matheson provided the assist.

Dupuis recorded 34 saves for Pembroke. The Lumber Kings incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. William Betts made 29 saves for Brockville on 33 shots. The Braves incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
