Missoula had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-0 win over Gillette. The win by Missoula clinched the best of seven series at 4-2. Missoula was led by Corey Schafer, who finished with one goal. Schafer scored 5:57 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Missoula. Zach Paisley picked up the assist. Missoula forced Gillette's goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, getting 48 shots and forcing 43 saves. Nick Vittori made 43 stops and Grant Friesen made zero. Missoula's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Gillette power plays. Missoula got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Missoula also got points from Will Stawinski, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Missoula also got a goal from Oscar Bjorkander as well. In addition, Missoula received assists from Jimmy Morris, who had two and Tim Schmidt, Dustin Pierce, Anders Nord, and Brett Mathews, who contributed one a piece. Missoula's McKinlee Baum stopped 22 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Missoula incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
