Missoula downs Gillette in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Missoula's Zach Paisley scored 9:24 into overtime to beat Gillette, 5-4 (OT).

The win gave Missoula a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.

Missoula overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Missoula fell behind 4-2 after a goal by Gillette's Adam Pecht at 14:56 in the third period. Missoula tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Jimmy Morris at 19:42 in the third period.

Missoula was led by Paisley, who grabbed one goal.

Missoula forced Gillette goalie Grant Friesen to work between the pipes, taking 62 shots.

Missoula additionally got points from Corey Schafer, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Blair Murphy also scored for Missoula. In addition, Missoula received assists from Ian Johnson, who had three and Anders Nord, Alan Maul, and Brett Mathews, who contributed one a piece.

Gillette stifled Missoula's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

McKinlee Baum recorded 25 saves for Missoula. Missoula incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Friesen rejected 57 shots on goal for Gillette. Gillette incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
