North Iowa survives Twin City comeback, wins 4-2

The North Iowa Bulls survived a determined comeback attempt by the Twin City Steel on the way to a 4-2 win.

A goal by Steve Heller put North Iowa up 4-1 in the third period, but Twin City pulled to within two on Colton Radtke's tally 11:31 into the third period.

After the loss made the series score 1-0 in the best of three series, the Steel face elimination next time out.

The Bulls were paced by Andrew Halama, who had one goal. Halama scored 6:02 into the third period to make the score 3-1 North Iowa.

Patrick Sivets also scored for North Iowa. In addition, North Iowa received assists from Bobby Chapman, who had one and Brenden Giffel and Andrew Pitts, who contributed two a piece.

Twin City was helped by Davis Madren, who grabbed one goal. Madren scored short handed 14:54 into the second period to make the score 1-1. The Steel were on a disadvantage when Sam Basich went off the ice for holding. Tony Folk provided the assist. Other players who recorded assists for Twin City were Brandon Busse, Nicholas Coltrain, and Zachary Turner, who each chipped in one.

Matthew Bartels made 24 saves for North Iowa on 26 shots. The Bulls incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Vladimir Kramar rejected 25 shots on goal for Twin City. The Steel incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
