Beihn's hat trick boosts Delhi over St. George, 8-5

Trever Beihn lifted the Delhi Travellers to an 8-5 victory with a hat trick against the St. George Dukes.

Beihn notched his first tally 10:11 into the first period. He then added goals at 8:52 into the second and at 12:54 into the third.

The win by Delhi clinched the best of seven series at 0-4.

The Travellers forced St. George goalie Tanner Armstrong to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

Delhi also got points from Nathan Moyaert, who also had one goal and one assist, Brad Ward, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Reid Morrison, who also finished with one goal and two assists, and Jake Legein, who also registered one goal and one assist. Delhi also got a goal from Mac Scott as well. In addition, Delhi received assists from Corbit Morrison, who had three and Josh Bradshaw, Harrison McRobert, and Derek Friesen, who each chipped in one.

The Dukes' offense rang up 44 shots on Delhi's net.

St. George was led by Chris Vasile, who registered one goal and two assists. Vasile scored on the power play 6:33 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Delhi. The Dukes had gotten the advantage when the Travellers' Morrison was sent off for cross checking. Kurtis Hulshof provided the assist. St. George additionally got points from Nick Cole, who also had one goal and one assist. Josh Mitton also scored for St. George. Other players who recorded assists for St. George were Pat Bates, who had two and Matthew Younger and Jamie Snow, who contributed one a piece.

Nick Heath rejected 39 shots on goal for Delhi. The Travellers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Tanner Armstrong made 30 saves for St. George on 38 shots. The Dukes incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
