Adam Wood was superb between the pipes for the Clarington Eagles, as he did not allow a goal in a 4-0 victory over the Lakefield Chiefs. With the win, Clarington evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown. Courtland Black-Araujo was all over the ice for the Eagles, as he racked up two goals in the win. Black-Araujo found the back of the net 5:42 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Clarington and again while short handed 16:44 into the second to make the score 3-0 Clarington. Clarington stifled Lakefield's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Clarington also got points from Brock Ackerman, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Clarington also got a goal from Sam Jackson as well. Other players who recorded assists for Clarington were Justin Devouge, Tyler Cooper APM, Cody Graham, and Brad Down, who contributed one a piece. The Chiefs' offense rang up 36 shots on the Eagles' net. Clarington's Wood stopped 36 shots out of the 36 that he faced. The Eagles incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Brad Sutton took the loss and made 17 saves before being replaced by Dustin Cook who made four saves. Lakefield incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
