Racine stymies Oakville, Georgetown wins 2-1

Steven Racine had a standout game with 29 saves, and the Georgetown Raiders beat the Oakville Blades 2-1.

The win by Georgetown clinched the best of seven series at 2-4.

The Raiders were sparked by Jacob Bauchman, who racked up one goal. Bauchman scored 15:57 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Georgetown. Stephen Genua assisted on the tally.

Georgetown forced Oakville goalie James Prigione to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

Caleb Apperson also scored for Georgetown. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Tyson Fawcett, Brendan Woods, and Nathaniel Domagala, who contributed one a piece.

The Blades were led by Tyler Karius, who scored the team's only goal. Karius scored on the power play 4:32 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Oakville had taken the advantage when the Raiders' Tyler MacPherson got sent off for hooking. Brandon Denham picked up the assist.

Georgetown incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Prigione rejected 32 shots on goal for the Blades. Oakville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
