Oakville falls to Georgetown in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Tyson Fawcett gave the Georgetown Raiders a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Oakville Blades when he scored 2:55 into the extra period.

After the loss made the series score 1-3 in the best of seven series, Oakville faces elimination next time out.

Georgetown came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Raiders trailed 2-0 after a goal by the Blades' Martin Kudla at 12:10 in the third period. Georgetown knotted things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by Patrick Megannety at 15:59 in the third period.

The Raiders were sparked by Fawcett, who racked up one goal and one assist.

Oakville was unable to stop Georgetown from sending pucks towards the net, and the Raiders eventually piled up 48 shots on goal.

Georgetown also got a goal from Jacob Bauchman as well. More assists for Georgetown came via Stephen Genua, Brendan Woods, Caleb Apperson, and Alex Lubczuk, who contributed one a piece.

Kyle Blaney also scored for Oakville. In addition, Oakville received assists from Brandon Denham, Tyler Karius, and Patrick Arnold, who each chipped in one.

Georgetown's Steven Racine stopped 21 shots out of the 23 that he faced. The Raiders incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. James Prigione recorded 45 saves for the Blades. Oakville incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
