Mareks Kepals finished with two points to lead the Toledo Cherokee to a 4-1 victory over the Battle Creek Jr. Revolution. The win by Toledo clinched the best of three series at 2-0. The Cherokee put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Battle Creek to score on any of its three power plays. Toledo's offense rang up 54 shots on the Jr. Revolution's net. Drew Crandall also scored for Toledo. More assists for Toledo came via Gary Neill, who had two and Charles Kingston, Joe Skrzynski, Trevor Ruiz, Brandin Thelen, and Donnie Nagle, who each chipped in one. Battle Creek's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Toledo power plays. The Jr. Revolution were led by James Romberger, who scored the team's only goal. Romberger scored 17:43 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Toledo. Tim Wlodkowski picked up the assist. Austyn Roudebush recorded 17 saves for the Cherokee. Toledo incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Matthew Hughes rejected 50 shots on goal for Battle Creek. The Jr. Revolution incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
