OTTAWA's McNeil deadly on offense in 2-1 win against WHITBY

OTTAWA relied on the scoring touch of Morgan McNeil, who netted two goals, to beat WHITBY, 2-1.

McNeil's tallies came at 24 seconds into the third period to make the score 1-1 and 9:58 into the third to make the score 2-1 OTTAWA.

OTTAWA evened the best of five series at 2-2 and forced a deciding game five.

OTTAWA was led by goalie Amanda Leveille, who finished with 35 saves while allowing one goal. Leveille certainly lowered her goals against average, which was 1.93 entering the contest.

OTTAWA's offense rang up 37 shots on WHITBY's net.

More assists for OTTAWA came via Mackenzie Lalonde, who had one and Jessica Harvey, who had two.

OTTAWA was unable to stop WHITBY from sending pucks towards the net, and WHITBY eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

WHITBY was led by Hanna Bunton, who scored the team's only goal. Bunton scored 13:41 into the second period to make the score 1-0 WHITBY. Nicole Martindale assisted on the tally.

OTTAWA incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Brianna Quade rejected 35 shots on goal for WHITBY. WHITBY incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
