ETOBICOKE took the lead against AURORA in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 3-1 victory. Dorothy King provided ETOBICOKE with the game-winning tally when she scored 1:21 into the the first period. Samantha Pui assisted on the tally.With the win, ETOBICOKE evened the series at 1-1 in the best of five showdown. ETOBICOKE was led by goalie Keri Martin, who finished with 26 saves while allowing one goal. Despite the solid performance, Martin will actually see her goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.2 entering the contest. ETOBICOKE's penalty kill excelled, as ETOBICOKE gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. ETOBICOKE stifled AURORA's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. ETOBICOKE's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as ETOBICOKE finished with 14 penalty minutes. ETOBICOKE was helped by Megan Farrell, who racked up one goal. Farrell scored 13:02 into the first period to make the score 2-0 ETOBICOKE. Lauren Cusack provided the assist. ETOBICOKE also got a goal from Cara Sayles as well. More assists for ETOBICOKE came via Giuliana Pallotta (A), Nadia Larocca, and Dayna Gaughan, who each chipped in one. AURORA could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game. AURORA was led by Jessica Gillham, who scored the team's only goal. Gillham scored 5:24 into the second period to make the score 2-1 ETOBICOKE. Brianna Veerman(A) assisted on the tally. ETOBICOKE registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Claire Shaw made 21 saves for AURORA on 23 shots.
