BLUEWATER overcame a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. BLUEWATER was down 1-0 after a goal by DURHAM WEST's Laura Horwood at 14:02 in the second period. BLUEWATER tied things up at 1-1 on a goal by Cayley Mercer at 3:16 in the third period.

BLUEWATER's Kayla Black was a brick wall in net, as she came up with 34 saves and let only one puck past him. Despite the solid performance, Black will actually see her goals against average rise, as it stood at 0.55 entering the contest.

More assists for BLUEWATER came via Taylor Philip, who had one.

DURHAM WEST stifled BLUEWATER's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. DURHAM WEST forced BLUEWATER goalie Black to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.
