OTTAWA tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but WHITBY held on for a 3-1 victory.

WHITBY took a 3-0 lead during the third period, only to have OTTAWA storm back on a Morgan McNeil goal 9:18 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

The win moved WHITBY to down 1-0 in the best of five series.

WHITBY was sparked by Hanna Bunton, who finished with one goal. Bunton scored 3:38 into the second period to make the score 2-0 WHITBY. Alex Moore picked up the assist.

WHITBY also got a goal from Vicky Pittens as well. In addition, WHITBY received assists from Brianna Soper, Nicole Brown, Kenya Marcelline, and Lindsey West, who each chipped in one.

More assists for OTTAWA came via Cydney Roesler (C) and Morgan Richardson (A), who contributed one a piece.
