The St. Thomas Stars and the St. Marys Lincolns were evenly matched throughout their contest, but St. Thomas made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2. Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Mac Wood's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker. After the loss made the series score 2-3 in the best of seven series, St. Marys faces elimination next time out. Wood was all over the ice for the Stars, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Wood scored 7:24 into the second period to make the score 3-2 St. Thomas. St. Thomas additionally got points from Kevin Zacharuk, who also registered one goal and one assist. St. Thomas also got a goal from Thomas Kohler as well. In addition, St. Thomas received assists from Colin Mooney and Drew Collinson, who each chipped in one. The Lincolns kept St. Thomas' goalie busy throughout the game, and Michael Slaats made 39 saves on 41 shots. St. Marys was helped by Brady Wiffen, who had one goal. Wiffen scored on the power play 15:34 into the first period to make the score 2-1 St. Marys. The Lincolns earned a power play opportunity when Blake Thomas was put in the box for slashing. Calvin Penney picked up the assist. Reid Oliver also scored for St. Marys. More assists for St. Marys came via Sean Consitt and Brendon Merritt, who contributed one a piece. The Stars incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Craig Wood made 24 saves for St. Marys on 28 shots. The Lincolns incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
