Harald Windler netted a hat trick to lead ESC 07 Berlin over ETC Crimmitschau, 6-2.

Windler got on the scoresheet 2:22 into the first period. He then added goals at 8:31 into the second and at 10:41 into the third.

ESC 07 Berlin additionally got points from Marco Jagnow, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Steven Haucke also scored for ESC 07 Berlin. More assists for ESC 07 Berlin came via Christoph Rogosch, Sebastian Grundmann, and Sven Dietz, who each chipped in one and Andre Petters, Marc Müller, and Peter Gräber, who contributed two a piece.

ETC Crimmitschau put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow ESC 07 Berlin to score on any of its three power plays. The defensemen of ETC Crimmitschau were also effective in ESC 07 Berlin's zone, and came away with two goals.
