EC Peiting falls to EV Regensburg in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

EV Regensburg pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over EC Peiting on a clutch goal by Sven Gerike.

The win by EV Regensburg clinched the best of five series at 3-2.

Gerike had two goals and one assist to lead EV Regensburg. Gerike scored the first of his two goals at 10:26 into the third period to make the score 2-1 EV Regensburg. Martin Ancicka picked up the assist. Gerike's next tally made the score 3-2 EV Regensburg with 16:37 left in overtime. Ancicka provided the assist.

EV Regensburg pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 16 penalty minutes.

EV Regensburg also got a goal from Thomas Daffner as well. More assists for EV Regensburg came via John Sicinski, who had two.

EC Peiting was led by Manfred Eichberger, who had one goal and one assist. Eichberger scored 13:55 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Anton Saal picked up the assist. Florian Simon also scored for EC Peiting. In addition, EC Peiting received assists from Thomas Zeck, who had one.

EV Regensburg registered one goal on four power play opportunities. EC Peiting incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
