Geisberger's hat trick boosts Selber Wölfe over Deggendorf Fire, 4-2

Herbert Geisberger lifted Selber Wölfe to a 4-2 victory with a hat trick against Deggendorf Fire.

Geisberger notched his first tally 42 seconds into the second period. He then added goals at 8:55 into the second and at 4:09 into the third.

The win by Selber Wölfe clinched the best of five series at 1-3.

Selber Wölfe took advantage of Deggendorf Fire's penalties, tallying two goals off of three power play opportunities.

Selber Wölfe also got points from Jared Mudryk, who also registered one goal and three assists. Other players who recorded assists for Selber Wölfe were Yann Jeschke, who had one and Kyle Piwowarczyk, who had four.

Deggendorf Fire's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Deggendorf Fire was helped by Benjamin Frank, who grabbed one goal. Frank scored 18:53 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Nils Hanfstingl also scored for Deggendorf Fire. More assists for Deggendorf Fire came via Stefan Ortolf, who had one.

Selber Wölfe incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Deggendorf Fire incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
