EV Regensburg rolls over EC Peiting, 5-1

EV Regensburg had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over EC Peiting.

After the loss made the series score 1-2 in the best of five series, EC Peiting faces elimination next time out.

EV Regensburg's penalty kill excelled, as EV Regensburg gave up one goal despite allowing eight power plays.

EV Regensburg was paced by Martin Ancicka, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Ancicka scored 7:41 into the second period to make the score 2-0 EV Regensburg. John Sicinski provided the assist.

EV Regensburg cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances. EV Regensburg could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

EV Regensburg also got points from Sven Gerike, who also finished with one goal and one assist. EV Regensburg also got a goal from Steven Maier as well.
