EV Regensburg falls to EC Peiting in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

EC Peiting's Premysl Sedlak scored 7:31 into overtime to beat EV Regensburg, 4-3 (OT).

After the loss made the series score 0-2 in the best of five series, EV Regensburg faces elimination next time out.

EC Peiting overcame a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. EC Peiting trailed 3-0 after a goal by EV Regensburg's Martin Ancicka at 6:57 in the second period. EC Peiting tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Michael Kreitl at 17:48 in the third period.

Kreitl and Sedlak provided the spark for EC Peiting, combining for three goals and two assists. Kreitl tallied two goals and one assist and Sedlak also notched one goal and one assist.

EC Peiting also got a goal from Florian Simon as well. Other players who recorded assists for EC Peiting were Anton Saal, who had two and Milos Vavrusa, Florian Thomas, and Christian Mayr, who contributed one a piece.

EV Regensburg struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 14 penalty minutes for six opposing power plays.

EV Regensburg was helped by John Sicinski, who finished with two goals. Sicinski scored the first of his two goals at 2:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 EV Regensburg. Martin Prochazka assisted on the tally. Sicinski's next tally made the score 2-0 EV Regensburg with 6:52 left in the first period. Ancicka picked up the assist.

EC Peiting incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. EV Regensburg registered one goal on five power play opportunities.
