The Belle River Canadiens' Nik Dobrich scored 40 seconds into overtime to beat the Mooretown Flags, 4-3 (OT). The win moved Belle River to down 2-0 in the best of seven series. The Canadiens' offense rang up 34 shots on Mooretown's net. Belle River was led by Cole Chevalier, who had three goals. Other players who recorded assists for Belle River were Chris DiNatale, who had one and Branden Larocque and Jason Koumaris, who contributed three a piece. The Flags' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Belle River power plays. Mooretown kept the Canadiens' goalie busy throughout the game, and Zakk Olvin made 30 saves on 33 shots. The Flags were led by Jeff Schroeter, who registered one goal and one assist. Schroeter scored 2:07 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Belle River. Calab Harse picked up the assist. Michael Gray also scored for Mooretown. More assists for Mooretown came via Mike Burns, who had one and Josh Teschke, who had two. Belle River incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Canadiens ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Spencer VanBuskirk was ejected from the game. Andrew Ganter recorded 30 saves for Mooretown. The Flags incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
