Philadelphia Revolution downs Maksymum, 5-2

The Philadelphia Revolution Revolution took home the win against the Maksymum Junior Hockey (Rochester), 5-2.

The win gave Philadelphia Revolution a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

The Revolution made Junior Hockey (Rochester)'s goalies to work in net, ripping 47 shots and forcing 42 saves. Jake Bryniarski made 31 stops and William Massey made 11. Philadelphia Revolution stifled Maksymum's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Revolution got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Philadelphia Revolution was led by Ryan OMalley, who had one goal and one assist. OMalley scored on the power play 8:57 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Philadelphia Revolution. An interference penalty on Jared Tam-Grimshaw had put the Revolution on the power play. Sean Fleming assisted on the tally. Philadelphia Revolution also got points from Jonathan Houk, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Peter Malamud also scored for Philadelphia Revolution. More assists for Philadelphia Revolution came via Clint Aussprung, who had one.

The Junior Hockey (Rochester)'s offense rang up 38 shots on Philadelphia Revolution's net. Maksymum's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Junior Hockey (Rochester) finished with 36 penalty minutes.

Maksymum was led by Mikel Williams, who racked up one goal. Williams scored 15:16 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Philadelphia Revolution. Brandon Gonzalez picked up the assist. Maksymum also got a goal from Kevin DiMagno as well. In addition, Maksymum received assists from Tyler Gmerek, who had one.

Robert Palzer recorded 36 saves for the Revolution. Philadelphia Revolution totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 2-for-7 on the power play. The Junior Hockey (Rochester) registered zero goals on three power play opportunities.
