The Junior Bruins Junior Bruins failed to take advantage of their power play opportunities and South Shore Kings shook off a number of penalties to win, 5-2. The win gave South Shore Kings a 1-0 lead in the best of one series. South Shore Kings was led by Jack Kilty, who tallied one goal. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Alex Erban also scored for South Shore Kings. Other players who recorded assists for South Shore Kings were Brian Collins, John Sugrue, Philip Falkof, and Cameron Prouty, who contributed one a piece. The Junior Bruins kept South Shore Kings' goalie busy throughout the game, and Brian Jacobs made 44 saves on 46 shots. Junior Bruins was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 14 penalty minutes. The Junior Bruins were led by Mat Harris, who had one goal.
