Ignagni stymies Toronto, St. Michaels wins 3-1

The St. Michaels Buzzers relied on the sparkling performance of Adrian Ignagni in net to grab a 3-1 win against the Toronto Junior Canadiens.

With the win, St. Michaels evened the series at 2-2 in the best of seven showdown.

The Buzzers were sparked by Daniel Milne, who tallied one goal and one assist. Milne scored 4:13 into the third period to make the score 2-1 St. Michaels. Michael Neville assisted on the tally.

St. Michaels' offense rang up 51 shots on Toronto's net.

St. Michaels also got a goal from Anthony Rizzo as well. More assists for St. Michaels came via Josh Herrington, Taylor Clements, Erlich Doerksen, and Tommy Sumi, who contributed one a piece.

The Buzzers were unable to stop the Junior Canadiens from sending pucks towards the net, and Toronto eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

The Junior Canadiens were led by Jordan Ramsay, who scored the team's only goal. Ramsay scored on the power play 15:29 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Toronto had gotten the advantage when St. Michaels' Joseph Luongo was sent off for slashing. Joseph Santino provided the assist.

Ignagni recorded 30 saves for the Buzzers. St. Michaels incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Jamie Phillips made 48 saves for the Junior Canadiens on 50 shots. Toronto incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
