Blaney's big game bests Buffalo in 9-0 Oakville win

The Oakville Blades' Kyle Blaney had a big offensive game, scoring four goals and contributing one assist in his team's 9-0 win over the Buffalo Jr. Sabres.

Blaney got on the scoresheet 19:57 into the first period. He then added goals at 2:17 into the second, at 7:18 into the second, and at 19:42 into the third.

The win by Oakville clinched the best of seven series at 4-1.

The Blades were particularly efficient on the power play, as they banged in two goals on the advantage.

Oakville kept Buffalo's goalie busy throughout the game, and Parker Gahagen made 28 saves on 37 shots.

Oakville additionally got points from Brandon Denham, who also registered one goal and two assists. Oakville also got a goal from Nathan Granitto as well. In addition, Oakville received assists from Tyler Karius, who had four and Bradley Ryan, Aidan Orbinski, Sean Federow, Phil Hampton, Stefan Thompson, Stephen Hickey, Conor McGlynn, Todd Bannerman, Brock Bottachio, and Patrick Arnold, who each chipped in one.

James Prigione recorded 18 saves for the Blades. Oakville incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Jr. Sabres incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
