Labrecque stymies Amherstview, Campbellford wins 5-1Empire Jr. C Thu, Mar 01, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
Jesse Labrecque had a standout game with 29 saves, and the Campbellford Rebels beat the Amherstview Jets 5-1. With the win, Campbellford avoided elimination to make the series score 3-3 in the best of seven series. The Rebels were led by Dylan Baxter, who registered one goal. Baxter scored 14:26 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Campbellford. Josh Adams assisted on the tally. Campbellford stifled Amherstview's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Rebels' offense rang up 36 shots on the Jets' net. Campbellford also got points from Lucas Hooley, who also had one goal and one assist. Campbellford also got a goal from Levi George as well. In addition, Campbellford received assists from Andrew Doxtator, who had two and Ryan Crowley, Nick Orton, and Joe McKeown, who each chipped in one. Campbellford incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Zach DeSousa rejected 31 shots on goal for Amherstview. The Jets incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. |
