The Alliston Hornets' Randy Cox had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 7-1 win over the Penetang Kings.

Cox found the back of the net 18:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Alliston and again while 5:02 into the second to make the score 5-0 Alliston.

After the loss made the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series, Penetang faces elimination next time out.

Both teams had a hard time staying out of the box, and they combined for 20 penalties during the game.

Alliston excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The leading offender was Tanner Dockerty, who totaled four minutes in penalty time with two minors.

Alliston also got points from Cox, who also registered two goals and two assists and Mike Campeau, who also tallied one goal and three assists. Others who scored for Alliston included Mark ODonnell, who had two and David Leblanc and Dakota Brooks, who each put in one. More assists for Alliston came via Matt Thompson, who had three and Cam Nicoll and Zenon Byblow, who each chipped in one.

The Kings were held below their usual level of production. Penetang averages three goals per game. The Kings were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 32 penalty minutes. The leading offender was Jason Seeley, who totaled 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one misconduct.

Penetang was led by Brad Payne, who scored the team's only goal. Payne scored 13:20 into the second period to make the score 6-1 Alliston. Tyler Lumley assisted on the tally.

The Hornets incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
