Penetang downs Alliston in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Penetang Kings' Matt Fischer scored 2:41 into overtime to beat the Alliston Hornets, 4-3 (OT).

The win by Penetang broke a deadlock and gave the Kings a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series.

Penetang came back from a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Kings fell behind 3-0 after a goal by Alliston's Randy Cox at 1:18 in the second period. Penetang knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Fischer at 11:12 in the second period.

The Kings kept the Hornets' goalie busy throughout the game, and Robbie Alsop made 39 saves on 43 shots.

Penetang also got points from Fischer, who also racked up three goals and one assist and Craig Robinson, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Other players who recorded assists for Penetang were Hayden Cole, Nate King, Tyler Lumley, and Nick Arcan, who contributed one each.

Alliston did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Hornets put an average of five pucks into the net per game. Alliston's offense efficiently hummed along to the tune of 38 shots put on Penetang's net.

Alliston got a goal from Zenon Byblow as well. More assists for Alliston came via Cole Parker, Matt Thompson, Mark ODonnell, Dakota Brooks, and Mike Campeau, who each chipped in one.

Jake Smith recorded 35 saves for the Kings. Penetang incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Hornets incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
