Hope College tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but Cal U of PA held on for a 4-3 victory.

Cal U of PA made the score 4-2 on a goal by Kevin Claybaugh at 52 seconds in the third period, and Hope College got as close as 4-3 when Rilechy Hoernschemeyer scored 1:54 into the third period.

In the losing effort, Hope College was sparked by Hoernschemeyer, who had two goals.
