Hope College had a six-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 9-1 win over University of Alabama. University of Alabama was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as Hope College was able to score five times while on the power play. The University of Alabama penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled nine minors and one major for 23 minutes in penalty time.
