Brent Paxton recorded a shutout against the Blenheim Blades as the Dresden Kings picked up a 2-0 win.

The win by Dresden clinched the best of seven series at 4-1.

The Kings were led by Dylan Mertz, who racked up one goal. Mertz scored 2:08 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Dresden.

James Shelton also scored for Dresden. In addition, Dresden received assists from Josh Clements, who had one.

Blenheim did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Blades average three goals per game.

Brent Paxton made 28 saves for Dresden on 28 shots. The Kings incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Dylan Vanderpol turned away 15 pucks between the pipes for Blenheim. The Blades incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
