Jersey Wildcats beats Philadelphia Revolution 6-4 after comeback scare

Jersey Wildcats survived a determined comeback attempt by Philadelphia Revolution on the way to a 6-4 win.

A goal by Joseph Curto put Jersey Wildcats up 6-1 in the second period, but Philadelphia Revolution pulled to within two on Johnathon Rosica's tally 8:19 into the third period.

Both teams had a hard time staying out of the box, and they combined for 17 penalties during the game.

Jersey Wildcats' offense efficiently hummed along to the tune of 41 shots put on Philadelphia Revolution's net. Jersey Wildcats' goal total was higher than its season average. Jersey Wildcats has scored at the pace of three goals per game during the current campaign. Jersey Wildcats had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just one goal on nine chances. Jersey Wildcats could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game. The leading offender was Ryan Gecawich, who totaled two minutes in penalty time with one minor.
