Orange County 16U beats San Jose Jr Sharks 16U 4-2 after comeback scare

Orange County 16U survived a determined comeback attempt by San Jose Jr Sharks 16U on the way to a 4-2 win.

A goal by Nico Wilton put Orange County 16U up 4-1 in the third period, but San Jose Jr Sharks 16U pulled to within two on Matthew Woodley's tally 16:33 into the third period.

Elijiah Barriga was all over the ice for Orange County 16U, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Barriga scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 8:29 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Orange County 16U. Riley Hummitsch assisted on the tally. Barriga's next tally on the power play made the score 3-1 Orange County 16U with 6:54 left in the third period. Connor Rickabus provided the assist.

Orange County 16U additionally got points from Barriga, who also registered two goals and one assist. Kyle Rimbach also scored for Orange County 16U. More assists for Orange County 16U came via Christian Lau, who had one.

San Jose Jr Sharks 16U was helped by Oliver Takacsi-Nagy, who grabbed one goal and one assist.
