West tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but NAHL 18U Selects would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

A goal by Justin Woods put NAHL 18U Selects up 4-1 in the second period, but West pulled to within one on Shawn Pauly's tally 18:43 into the third period.

Chris Leibinger had one goal and two assists to lead NAHL 18U Selects. Leibinger scored 13:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 NAHL 18U Selects. Kyle Schempp assisted on the tally.

NAHL 18U Selects made West's goaltenders to work all game long, getting 35 shots and forcing 31 saves. Greg Lewis made 16 stops and Nick Kulmanovsky made 15.
