Toronto came close to giving away a three-goal lead to Burlington, but did just enough to escape with a 4-2 victory. Toronto led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Toronto's Mallory Deluce's scored at 3:52 in the second period to put Toronto up 3-0. Deluce had two goals to lead Toronto to victory. Toronto put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Burlington to score on any of its five power plays. Toronto additionally got points from Jess Scanzano, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Britni Smith also scored for Toronto. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto were Martine Garland, who had two and Meagan Aarts, Frances McPhail, Tessa Bonhomme, Kristy Zamora, and Brooke Beazer, who contributed one a piece. Burlington stifled Toronto's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Burlington was helped by Jana Harrigan, who had one goal. Harrigan scored 3:13 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Toronto. Kristen Marson picked up the assist. Burlington also got a goal from Brayden Ferguson as well. In addition, Burlington received assists from Samantha Shirley and Sommer West, who each chipped in one. Toronto incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
