Austin Allard had one goal and three assists to lead the Ft. Wayne Federals to a 7-1 victory over the St. Louis Frontenacs. Allard beat Loren Sawyer with a shot 15:07 into the second period to make the score 5-1 Ft. Wayne. Cody Hess provided the assist. Allard dished an assist on Tyler Mason's goal that made the score 3-1 Ft. Wayne at 13:04 into the second period. Wayne's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Federals finished with 14 penalty minutes. The leading offender was Tyler Drussell, who totaled four minutes in penalty time with two minors. St. Louis excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. The Frontenacs were held below their usual level of production. St. Louis puts an average of three pucks into the net per game. The Frontenacs forced Ft. Wayne goalie Buchanan to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. St. Louis could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 54 minutes in penalties during the game. Ft.
