TORONTO rolls over BARRIE, 8-0

TORONTO had a seven-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-0 win over BARRIE.

TORONTO got the win thanks to a great game by Brooke Webster, who had two goals and one assist. Webster scored the first of her two goals at 11:23 into the first period to make the score 2-0 TORONTO. Kate Martini picked up the assist. Webster's next tally made the score 3-0 TORONTO with 5:44 left in the first period. Martini provided the assist.

TORONTO forced BARRIE's goalies to work all game long, finishing with 36 shots and forcing 28 saves. Brianna Tremblay made 21 stops and Katelyn Steele (PU) made seven. TORONTO excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. TORONTO bested its season scoring average. TORONTO has scored at the pace of four goals per game during the current campaign.

TORONTO additionally got points from Vanessa Spataro, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Jaimie McDonell, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Webster, who also had two goals and one assist. TORONTO also had goals scored by Laura Stacey, who had two and Audrey Potts and Victoria Andreakos, who scored one goal each. More assists for TORONTO came via Stephanie Chiste, who had three and Lindsey Allen, Kryshanda Green, Ailish Forfar, and Erin Ambrose, who contributed one each.

BARRIE's penalty kill unit could not stop TORONTO's power play, which converted on three of five opportunities.

Sarah Stephens made 15 saves for TORONTO on 15 shots. TORONTO incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. BARRIE incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
