LONDON holds on for 3-2 win against CAMBRIDGE

LONDON survived a determined comeback attempt by CAMBRIDGE on the way to a 3-2 win.

LONDON made the score 3-1 on a goal by Molly Sipprell at 6:11 in the third period, and CAMBRIDGE got as close as 3-2 when Emma Davidson scored 11:15 into the third period.

LONDON was led by Sipprell, who grabbed one goal and one assist.

LONDON additionally got points from Sipprell, who also racked up one goal and one assist. LONDON got a goal from Jessica Ross as well. More assists for LONDON came via Clare McKellar, Averi Nooren (A), and Cassidy Gosling (A), who each chipped in one.

CAMBRIDGE was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 14 penalty minutes. The leading offender was Danielle Harvey (C), who totaled two minutes in penalty time with one minor.

CAMBRIDGE was helped by Marcie Landman, who tallied one goal. Landman scored 19 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 CAMBRIDGE. Brooklyn Irwin assisted on the tally. Other players who recorded assists for CAMBRIDGE were Jessica Staats (A) and Kelly Burns, who contributed one each.

LONDON's Katie Jacobs stopped 25 shots out of the 27 that she faced. LONDON finished the contest with no penalties and went 2-for-7 with the man advantage. Abby Huggins made 22 saves for CAMBRIDGE on 25 shots. CAMBRIDGE registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities.
