The Uxbridge Bruins could not stop the Clarington Eagles' Brad Down, who tallied a hat trick in an 8-4 win.

Down got on the scoresheet 4:37 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:21 into the first and at 18:26 into the second.

Uxbridge fell victim to a deadly Clarington power play, which ripped the Bruins for four goals.

The Eagles forced Uxbridge goalie Kristoff Lyons to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots. Clarington bested its season scoring average. The Eagles have scored at the pace of 4.3 goals per game during the current campaign. Clarington could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 30 minutes in penalties during the game.

Clarington also got a goal from Marco Azzano as well. More assists for Clarington came via Eric Kimmerly, who had two and Brock Ackerman, Kyle Sullivan, and Sam Jackson, who contributed one a piece.

The Eagles were unable to stop the Bruins from sending pucks towards the net, and Uxbridge eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. The Bruins were held back by their power play unit, which tallied two goals on 11 chances. Uxbridge could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 36 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Bruins were led by Mike Ramsey, who tallied one goal and one assist. Ramsey scored on the power play 1:15 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Clarington. Uxbridge earned a power play opportunity when Justin Devouge was put in the box for hooking. Steve Posteraro provided the assist. Blake Ertel also scored for Uxbridge.
