Jeff Sapieha tallied one point to lead the Pensacola Ice Flyers to a 5-2 victory over the Fayetteville FireAntz. By firing 45 shots on goal, Pensacola exceeded the 24.3 shots it averages per game this year. Pensacola also got points from Ryan Salvis, who also had one goal and one assist. Pensacola also had goals scored by Tyler Soehner, who had one and Adam Kuhn, who had two. In addition, Pensacola received assists from Dan Buccella, who had two and Andrew Howes, Matthew Robertson, Jordan Chong, Donnie Harris, Paul Holder, Chris Wilson, and Steve Bergin, who each chipped in one. Fayetteville put 29 shots on net during the contest, more than the 23.6 it averages per game. The FireAntz were helped by Terry Watt, who registered one goal. Watt scored 5:49 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Fayetteville. Mike Forgie provided the assist. Fayetteville also got a goal from Chris Rebernik as well. Pensacola incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Erik Hudson rejected 40 shots on goal for Fayetteville. The FireAntz incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
