The Huntsville Havoc tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but Mississippi Surge held on for a 4-3 victory. A goal by Adam Stuart put Mississippi Surge up 4-2 in the second period, but Huntsville pulled to within one on Ray Ortiz's tally 7:01 into the third period. Nick Guran had two goals to lead Mississippi Surge to victory. Guran found the back of the net short handed 19:57 into the first period to make the score 2-2 and again while 2:42 into the second to make the score 3-2 Mississippi Surge.
