The Missouri Mavericks relied on the sparkling performance of Charlie Effinger in net to grab a 3-1 win against Rapid City.

Missouri was led by Sebastien Thinel, who tallied one goal. Thinel scored 17:57 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Missouri. Kris Hogg assisted on the tally.

The Mavericks' offense was clicking better than usual and put 40 shots on goal during the game, better than the 28.1 shots per game they average.

Brandon Smith also scored for Missouri. In addition, Missouri received assists from Cole Ruwe, Patrick Schafer, and Ed McGrane, who contributed one a piece.

Rapid City's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Missouri power plays. Rapid City did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Rapid City puts an average of 3.5 pucks into the net per game. The 33 shots that Rapid City put on net surpassed Rapid City's average of 28.3 shots per game this season.

Rapid City was led by Collin Circelli, who scored the team's only goal. Circelli scored 2:45 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Riley Weselowski provided the assist.

Effinger rejected 32 shots on goal for Missouri. The Mavericks incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Rapid City's Tim Boron stopped 37 shots out of the 39 that he faced. Rapid City incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
