Bloomington falls to Fort Wayne in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Jean-Michel Rizk gave the Fort Wayne Komets a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Bloomington Blaze when he scored 2:33 into the extra period.

Chris Auger had two goals and one assist to lead Fort Wayne. Auger scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 16:23 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Komets had gained a power play chance when Omar Pacha was whistled for goalie interference. Bobby Chaumont provided the assist. Auger's next tally on the power play made the score 2-1 Fort Wayne with 37 seconds left in the first period. A hooking penalty on Pacha had put Fort Wayne on the power play. Frankie DeAngelis assisted on the tally.

The Komets put 53 shots on net during the contest, more than the 33.4 they average per game.

Leo Thomas also scored for Fort Wayne. In addition, Fort Wayne received assists from Colin Chaulk, who had two and Brent Henley and Jamie Milam, who contributed one a piece.

Bloomington's offense rang up 38 shots on Fort Wayne's net.

The Blaze were led by Kyle Laughlin, who dished out two assists.

The Komets' Gerry Festa stopped 35 shots out of the 38 that he faced. Fort Wayne incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Zane Kalemba recorded 49 saves for Bloomington. The Blaze incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
