Rapid City rides Boron to victory over Quad City, 4-1

Rapid City relied on the sparkling performance of Tim Boron in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Quad City Mallards.

Rapid City was led by Konrad Reeder, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Reeder scored 10:22 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Shawn Limpright assisted on the tally.

Rapid City also got points from Jeff Kyrzakos, who also had one goal and one assist. Scott Wray also scored for Rapid City. Other players who recorded assists for Rapid City were Anthony Perdicaro, Collin Circelli, Blake Forsyth, and Mike Vaskivuo, who each chipped in one.

Quad City's offense operated below it season average. The Mallards average 3.5 goals per game.

Quad City was led by Eric Giosa, who scored the team's only goal. Giosa scored on the power play 6:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Quad City. The Mallards had gotten the advantage when Rapid City's Kyrzakos was sent off for hooking. John Snowden provided the assist.

Tim Boron made 27 saves for Rapid City on 28 shots. Rapid City incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. David McKee rejected 21 shots on goal for Quad City. The Mallards incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
