Doseger's hat trick boosts Napanee over Port Hope, 4-2

Jake Doseger lifted the Napanee Raiders to a 4-2 victory with a hat trick against the Port Hope Panthers.

Doseger got on the scoresheet 14:08 into the second period. He then added goals at 19:15 into the second and at 19:41 into the third.

Napanee also got points from Tyson Thompson, who also tallied one goal and one assist. In addition, Napanee received assists from Eric Dwyer, who had two and Bud Norris and Taylor Brown, who each chipped in one.

Port Hope put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Napanee to score on any of its four power plays. The leading offender was Graham Snoek, who totaled eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.

The Panthers were helped by Logan Arsenault, who grabbed one goal. Arsenault scored short handed 17:51 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Port Hope was on a disadvantage when Snoek went off the ice for hooking. Jacob Spicer provided the assist. Tyler Park also scored for Port Hope.

Brad Green turned away 24 pucks between the pipes for the Raiders. Napanee incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. DJ Torrenueva recorded 18 saves for the Panthers. Port Hope incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
