Boston Bandits rolls over Salem Ice Dogs, 6-2

The Salem Ice Dogs Ice Dogs had trouble finding ways to stop Boston Bandits, which beat Ice Dogs, 6-2.

Tyler Drevitch had one goal and two assists to lead Boston Bandits. Drevitch scored on the power play 13:41 into the third period to make the score 6-2 Boston Bandits. Boston Bandits had gotten the advantage when Salem Ice Dogs' Peter Nelson was sent off for roughing. Paul Fregeau provided the assist.

Boston Bandits pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 24 penalty minutes.

Boston Bandits' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on 10 Salem Ice Dogs power plays. Boston Bandits kept the Ice Dogs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Maxwell Barr made 59 saves on 65 shots.

Boston Bandits additionally got points from Grant Gallo, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Fregeau, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Boston Bandits got a goal from Michael Taormina as well. More assists for Boston Bandits came via JB Sweeney, Dakoda Menslage, Michael Cusato, Harry Connelly, and Aharon Lara, who contributed one each.

Salem Ice Dogs found itself short handed often, totaling 24 penalty minutes and allowing 10 power plays. The leading offender was Joseph Raymond, who totaled six minutes in penalty time with three minors.

The Ice Dogs were helped by Shane Opre, who had one goal. Opre scored 2:04 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Boston Bandits. Michael Sadler assisted on the tally. Nicholas Latham also scored for Salem Ice Dogs. In addition, Salem Ice Dogs received assists from Adam Merry, who had one.

Matt Pearless made 23 saves for Boston Bandits on 25 shots.
