Springfield Pics beats Boston Bandits 6-2 as Sattler gets hat trick

Christopher Sattler netted a hat trick to lead the Springfield Pics Pics over Boston Bandits, 6-2.

Sattler's first goal came 9:46 into the second period. He then added goals at 10:31 into the third and at 15:11 into the third.

Springfield Pics pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 32 penalty minutes.

The referees were busy during the game, as 21 penalties were assessed during the course of the contest.

The Pics' offense efficiently hummed along to the tune of 37 shots put on Boston Bandits' net.

Springfield Pics additionally got points from Garrett Torrico, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Christopher Santaniello also scored for Springfield Pics. More assists for Springfield Pics came via Stefan Koproske and Evan Amato, who each chipped in one and Logan Schinabeck and Matthew Antonacci, who contributed two each.

Boston Bandits was held below its usual level of production. Boston Bandits puts an average of four pucks into the net per game. Boston Bandits could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 20 minutes in penalties during the game. The leading offender was Dakoda Menslage, who totaled six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Team could not crack Springfield Pics' penalty kill and was held to one power play goal while having nine opportunities to play with the man advantage.

Boston Bandits was helped by Paul Fregeau, who had one goal. Fregeau scored on the power play 7:45 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Boston Bandits. Boston Bandits had gained a power play chance when Mike Barton was whistled for boarding. Tyler Drevitch assisted on the tally. Boston Bandits got a goal from Michael Cusato as well. In addition, Boston Bandits received assists from Grant Gallo, Chace Smith, and Connor Callow, who each chipped in one.

Evan Moorehouse recorded 21 saves for the Pics. Springfield Pics registered three goals on eight power play opportunities. Boston Bandits' Ryan Simoneau stopped 31 shots out of the 37 that he faced.
